I want peace

Madness is an Artist drawing my people with cheeks running with tears
Harvesting souls without even a 'Where you coming from? Where you going?'
I woke up to madness with arrows drawn, come with me to the beginning
The world convinced us that there's a state, they told us there's sovereignty
Let's go, honour us with democracy! Let's go, In Palestine there are free and fair elections!
Wait! In my mind, there's a huge question mark:
Since when does democracy come before freedom? I asked the community
But my question was extinguished in the face of the camera flashes because
Who will remove these events? Controlling the lenses
The people are holding papers because today is the day off for the elections
Everyone's humming, like they're hearing songs on their way to the ballot

A team went down, a team went up, well now a team has to go

The world wants to punish my people, it wants to lecture my people
As though we're a small child, apparently we went too far with our jokes

Weird, strange, I thought they love self-determination
Relaxed faces started scowling
Our vote was refused, a boycott was implemented
Apparently decades of occupation wasn't enough, so the powers of the world
came together and hunger spread in Palestine

we pulled the triggers, squeezed, and killed
Israel, you don't need to tire yourself, we are already killing one another ourselves
And mothers weep because their son was killed by those they used to call our men

I want peace... That's what I want, what we want
I want peace...
I want peace... Hahaha, Oh the irony!
I want peace... We wanted peace with the enemy, now we want peace with ourselves

Now the world saw us, and it is two-faced
So they pretended to be surprised, convinced us that they're in pain
Poor them! We surprised them with our barbaric actions
They're from the civilized world that's used to blowing things up by air strikes
They're used to avoiding looking at the eyes of the victim
They can't bear the sight, so they became civilized and started automatizing massacres
And now they're acting upset about the situation, about the cause
They cry with one eye and wink at Zionism with the other
O Palestinian, I now have a rifle4
So take me with you, but not to a civil war
Let go of the violence at home, we've got enough shit to deal with
They unleashed the dark ages in our homeland and the dark ages gave us blood
I saw madness that will be written in history with poison
Everything's poisoned and we protect a spoon full of poison
We take an injection and comb and spray our hair. We wanted peace with the enemy
Now we want peace with ourselves. We comb and spray our hair

What happened to our people?
I don't understand our language and I'm exhausted mentally
You ask me, 'What's your opinion?' I tell you it doesn't matter
Ask me what I want
I want peace! I want peace! I want peace! I want peace!
